Here's a fun social experiment: think about the last time you genuinely, hand-on-heart apologized to someone. Not the reflexive "sorry!" when a stranger bumps into YOU. Not the passive-aggressive "I'm sorry you feel that way" that's basically a war crime disguised as manners. An actual, vulnerable, "I messed up and I know it" apology.
